SEM – South East Milan

SEM – Smart Land Sud Est Milano is the first experimental model of integrated planning for territorial development involving the “Sud Est Milano” Homogeneous Zone of Metropolitan City. The objective, through the I.T.I. tool, is to bring together the resources of different priority axes (corridors) of one or more operational programs for the implementation of multidimensional and cross-sectoral interventions across the entire territory, maintaining integrated the management and the implementation, and foster the attraction of private capitals for public-private partnership actions (PPP).

Launched in 2019 the first phase of this first experimental project led, thanks to the willingness of the Administrations with whom were held about 125 meetings and the wish of doing something together for the territory, to the identification of the process that now has been finalized. 120 projects and project needs were collected and grouped into 6 thematic corridors: Mobility | Water | Environment | Energy Efficiency | Territorial Development | Quality of Life | Digitization.

During the process of studying and defining the model, the Administrations also pursued the development of the territorial identity recognized in SEM with the creation of a logo and a website: semsmartland.com
