SOM – South West Milano

The SOM – Smartland Sud Ovest Milano project was created with the intention of using the I.T.I. as an operational tool to network the Municipalities of this Homogeneous Zone of the Metropolitan City of Milano, revitalizing the area through the enhancement of its excellence.

To date, the proposal for the support and accompanying Services Project for the operational phase of the I.T.I. presented by Municipia and Cisa has been declared of public utility; the tender was awarded in May 2023, with the Municipia-Cisa RTI being selected as the concessionaire.

In December 2024 the Municipalities involved in the SOM – Smart Land Sud Ovest Metropolitano project signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Metropolitan City of Milan to promote territorial development. This constitutes the first step towards the activation of a working table aimed at continuing the planning process of SOM, which is thus configured as the first experience of Integrated Territorial Investment in the metropolitan area.
