Marchesal Palace of Camerota

The Municipality of Camerota has started a path of urban regeneration extended through the enhancement of places and spaces included in the territorial and urban fabric; among these initiatives Cisa has been called to support the Administration to the recovery of the Marchesale Palace also known as “Castello di Marina”, a strategic infrastructure for the territory. 

The purpose of the action is to recover an asset of inestimable historical and cultural value, creating a strategic plan of sustainable integrated development of infrastructure and enhancing the services in the social, economic, urban, tourism, environmental and identity spheres of the Municipality of Camerota and the entire Cilento territory.

The Marchesal Palace can and must therefore assume the role of “Cultural and Tourist Attractor” of the entire territory by proposing services and hosting initiatives and spaces dedicated both to the recovery of the artistic and cultural value of the place and to the promotion of new themes of tourist fruition by implementing four complementary macro-actions related to different ways of visiting and experiencing the territory: 

  • Excursion tourism
  • Nature tourism
  • Archaeo-cultural tourism
  • Enhancement of local tourism
