Today, January 12 2024, starts the Master’s degree course dedicated to the sustainable development of mountain areas, organized by the Politecnico di Milano and of which Cisa is a partner.

The master’s degree is the first step taken, which is part of a broader and more ambitious path included in our first operational I.T.I. project: “Smartland In Valmalenco”.

The ultimate goal in the medium term is in fact to initiate an infrastructural regeneration of the entire hamlet of Primolo (Chiesa in Valmalenco, Sondrio) and to make it a post-university training centre on socio-economic issues to address, manage and enhance the mountains of tomorrow. The training centre aims to be a point of reference not only for Lombardia but for the entire Alpine arc, which is why in 2024 interlocutions and collaborations will also be activated with universities in European countries that are undergoing and facing the evolution of mountain dynamics.

The first edition of the Master’s course aims to provide the theoretical and operational tools useful to “train professional figures with skills that can operate in an interdisciplinary perspective and dialogue in the processes of territorial, architectural, landscape, environmental, cultural, social and economic transformation that will affect mountain areas in the coming decades“.
