Smart Land In Valmalenco

The idea, which arose from discussions with several public entities in the area, is to set up an experimental laboratory for an I.T.I. territorial project in a mountainous area, in order to test its effects on a territory with a specific local identity such as Valmalenco.

In 2021, the local government of Chiesa in Valmalenco, followed by the municipalities of Caspoggio, Lanzada and Spriana, expressed their willingness to prepare a study and verify the technical and economic conditions for launching projects with a view to sustainable and integrated development, aiming at repopulation and a new economic, social, environmental and cultural appeal. The tender was awarded in February 2022 to the RTI Municipia-Cisa consortium. In the first eight months since the project began, thanks to the structure and strategy established by the I.T.I., the municipalities have been able to obtain over €25 million in public funds to implement the first measures.
