The Costa d’Oro Smart Land

In both the 2014-2020 and 2021-2027 Action Plans, GALP Golfo di Termini Imerese has identified sustainable tourism as a priority area for Local Development Strategy (SSL) development. The interventions focus on integrating tourism offerings with sea-related economic sectors and fishing, aiming to enhance the area, create employment, attract youth, and promote innovation.

Through the I.T.I. project, GALP perceived an opportunity to embark on a path of regeneration of the territory, through interventions for the redevelopment of buildings and public space, in order to create the conditions to accommodate qualified and valuable services and activities, of collective interest, and to promote a new diffuse residency, relaunching the Costa d’Oro territory and the Sicily Region. This presents a strategic opportunity to contribute to the development of a new sustainable economy capable of transforming substantial EU and regional funding into a continuous, attractive, sustainable, and enhanced territory located at the gates of Palermo.
